π€²π»β€οΈ Love your content,my friend!
good for you.
im just a nostrich. thank you <3
Commenting on your comment about comments!

this is how we win. we must go deeper into the comment section.
I am realising that the term "proof of work" is applicable to a lot of things in life. for example, governments don't prduce any value! proof of stake!!
** @fiatjaf enters the room **
"I'm the algorithm"
π€£
agree. proof of work is beyond bitcoin and can be applied to most things in life.

just don't go too deep. some clients don't handle threads all that well π
Very true! On Twitter, Iβve made most friends by commenting and liking
Done and Done
Well said.
interacting is key on every social platform, it's just even more important and apparent here, where we don't have algos to bring content forward.
BUILD UR π¦©NOSTR CIRCLE π€πΌπ

FIND YOUR FLOCK
we gotta keep saying it so that new nostriches don't get lost in the void.
Thanks Dad
I've not been on here long and can honestly say that my experience has been improved massively by people's willingness to help and engage with me, including you. So thanks π€
Read this as FIND YOUR COCK
I thot my eyesight was gucci too

Warpcast / Farcaster has channels. I think that can be done on #Nostr clients as a standard π€
See you even have better dad memes than me lol
you're welcome. you'll find that most people are kind and helpful. 1) because we don't have ads and controversial content making us angry and 2) we want nostr to succeed and love to help!
i don't know what these things are. i don't shitcoin :) nostr has channels and group chats too. it just depends on your client.
π«ππ
ill be honest. i typed find your flock and had to double check before i posted to make sure i did not make a grave typo mistake lol
Lol π Farcaster is the Ethereum Nostr
we need a dad nest where we discuss dad jokes and general dadding.
typos are by DEFAULT FORGIVEN in nostr π₯°
i like this. we need it on a t-shirt.
MAGA
make algorithms go away
Buy your own algorithm? Isn't that what happens when you invest in Primal? π
Wen MAGA merch @Vanessa
hilarious. though i could never wear it. maybe if it was purple.
This is the way ππ»πππ«π
We gotta do what we gotta do π€π»π«π

I honestly hope many clients allow us to buy algorithms via an algorithm store sometime later this year. π
Me too, but that's not what I mean π€£
I know what you meant by it π€£

beautiful β€οΈ
you're welcome <3 i do what i do because i love this community <3

It shows <3
Yes
hi derek π
Is there a way to separate followed tags from followed accounts? I would like to follow a bunch of tags to make my own feed but also don't want to drown out the people I specifically want to follow from my home feed,
This is client dependent. Some allow following or hashtags and allow them to be in a separate feed.
Yo.
Yas!
Tanel doesn't know who's in this GIF π₯Ή
I would buy this shirt as long as it includes the words "make algorithms go away."
Interesting note. You outlined the Nostr, protocol, and incentive structure in the clearest way I've seen to date. π€¨

glad to be of service.
hope all is well, brother <3
where we goin'?

I canβt see beyond the mountain where we goin, but step by step we will see the outcome π€βπΌπ€
don't be an algorithm, be social.
welcome to social media

its social media. not algorithm media. be social
Do people boost their own notes? Does that help visibility?
Yes. You need to absolutely do this if you have a banger of a note that you feel needs more eyeballs. Algos aren't going to do the heavy lifting for you. Work hard.
Huh, the more you know! Looks like I donβt have a button to do this on Damus
Hmm. I don't have an iPhone so I can't confirm this. I always assumed you could. I'm sure a Damus user will comment here.
Until today I canβt use Damus. Happily there is others nostr clients
@jb55 can you boost your own notes on Damus?
Yup! You can repost your own notes on damus if thatβs what you mean?
Yes, that's what I mean. Thanks V! π«π There you go @npub1h54p...dn04 π₯
good to u DR!
December 2022.
be your own algorithm. engage with people that comment on your notes. engage with people that post notes in your feed. use the global tab. use the conversation tab. find nostriches that are active and let them know that you're active too! boost your own notes when applicable. help nostriches find your content. rinse and repeat. proof of work goes a long way in a community that appreciates value.

This is fantastic advice, thanks for engendering growth π
Welcome! Here's some basic advice. TLDR, just be social.
be your own algorithm. engage with people that comment on your notes. engage with people that post notes in your feed. use the global tab. use the conversation tab. find nostriches that are active and let them know that you're active too! boost your own notes when applicable. help nostriches find your content. rinse and repeat. proof of work goes a long way in a community that appreciates value.

While this is a positive development, it's important to note the potential drawbacks. Not all users appreciate unsolicited comments on their posts. I, for one, generally refrain from commenting, as I am doing now. Furthermore, there's a tendency for individuals to welcome affirming comments while being less receptive to dissenting opinions. Personally, I prefer to quote sources. Quoting allows for a more objective discussion of the content without directly addressing the author. However, some may perceive this as a way to avoid genuine engagement.

Aw I like that version better π₯Ή
Basically this.

Iβve noticed that more successful people on nostr reply an order of magnitude more than post. I mostly post because Iβm kinda just slopping notes and donβt spend too much time on social media but it makes sense to me - nostr is an interactivity/old school approach rather than an influencer/algorithm approach

Hey! In my opinion, Nostr's user base right now is minimal, so it's very hard to target a specific group of people without just targeting everyone. Do this and you'll be good.
