I own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" I exclaim as I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and it nails the neighbor's dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads!" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He bleeds out in front of frantic paramedics since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.

Did you roll for initiative, though? That's a lot of actions for one combat phase πŸ€“

Lately it seems the more popular argument is that the 2A was actually intended to avoid having a standing army (a goal long ago failed) and to keep slaves well under control. In other words, "might as well just ignore the 2A today."
The Second Amendment (and the First for that matter) were inserted by Illuminati adherents who needed to make sure THEIR levers of power (mass propaganda, armed mobs of The People) were protected
Wherever you draw that line, proliferation of gun ownership makes the line more extreme. Here in UK a cricket bat will do, as the ruffians won't have guns. If they did have guns I'd want a machine gun, if they had machine guns I'd want (whatever comes next, chlorine gas?), etc, etc, etc
Thank you, it took nearly 5 minutes to read because of how hard I was laugh/crying. Of course my monster of a wife didn't even crack a smile except to say, "Tally ho lads, that's something I would say".
I remember Rosie O'Donnell paraphrasing that shit to Tom Selleck once on her talk show when she started going in on him about being an NRA guy. He handled her non-sense fairly well, but this would've been a brilliantly sarcastic retort.
