Donald Trump has national guard soldiers helping to stop homelessness in DC. In my personal subjective view, this a very dangerous situation, as using any military for local law enforcement turns the average person into an enemy combatant. Militarized police are a stepping stone to government authoritarianism and over-reach of power. I am NOT opposed to using the guard in actual crisis situations, such as the previous riots in LA. I am NOT saying that homelessness is not a serious problem, or being handled by Democrats wrong. I AM saying this is not the appropriate use of Trump's power. And homeless people sleeping in public is not the same type of violent crisis that the previous LA riots were.

I would usually agree with that statement but are you aware that Washington is outside the feds jurisdiction? It is like the city of London and the Vatican. So the "ruse" of helping homeless is a excuse to seize control of an alien state. Whether that's right or wrong is debatable.

Are the military personel going to share their paycheck with homeless people to get rid off homelessness 🤔 or just remove them to claim we don't have homelessness?

Saying I should complain about something that is like, your opinion, man is putting your beliefs on me. My opinion is Trump should use all legal means to enforce every law he can. Then if liberals complain, that’s the one to double down on. You can disagree with my opinion on any law you want. But again, the recourse is not for you and I to decide which laws “should” be followed.

It's not the role of the military to do local law enforcement, because of the training, technology, and roles regarding civil liberties. Now if the local politicians are negligent to the point that it's the only way to enforce basic law, then this is less about the military vs police, and more-so about who can order which. In that case, I'd agree with you. However, given the evidence that I've seen on this specific case, I am not convinced it was justified.

That seems much more rational than a TDS take on the situation. And I admit to not viewing evidence in this specific case. While most TDS stricken liberals snap to “Trump did a thing, here’s why it’s wrong “, after his first term I’m much more inclined to let him cook. If the supreme court eventually says it was illegal then I’ll be inclined to agree with you.
