nah. i use my own node and self hosted everything. i installed this wallet and used real information, testing how this could work for new nostriches, if it was a good recommendation or not.
for this wallet to be a viable replacement to wallet of satoshi in the USA and able to recommend it to new nostriches. i've been waiting for them to add zap support. i guess it doesn't matter now.

An alternative that a Nostrich recommended to after WoS left the USA. It has a nice UI, LM address, etc. Like WoS, the parent company is a payment processing company.

it's a nice wallet that i was looking into as a replacement for WoS for new nostriches after WoS left the USA. the UX is great, well, at least until now lol
I honestly do not know. There is not a good easy to use alternative for noobies besides Primal. That's a minimal KYC wallet though.
Forget custodial wallets, they'll always go after that, it's an easy pressure point.
And yeah, onboarding on lightning without a custodial wallet is a challenge.

You need to fund the wallet to open a channel and then you can pay the 16K sats for Mutiny+. It's recommended to open a large initial payment channel.

Wait just a second! A friend just sent me 1 sat a minute ago, in the Mutiny app itself ; I had texted her in the app and asked for a sat to test it out too so it worked there.
Mutiny is great if you're already a Bitcoiner. Otherwise, you need Bitcoin to send Bitcoin to the wallet to get started. It's a bit complicated, but that's how it works.
Maybe someone else can help. I'm headed to sleep goodnight.
