My plan to grow wisp won't be to win more nostriches over, but to win normies over to nostr
Big plans ahead, stay tuned

This is the winning plan
What do you think about email/password login as table stakes for normies
That's a good idea. If anyone builds a client with the plan to take users from other existing apps that's a pretty small market.
I am very interested to see if it helps, I am very unsure if the key part is the off-putting part of nostr. I am happy you're attempting it and I will watch it with great interest
I will try to meet some normies and report back
Yes lol definitely a pretty pointless endeavor
The night is quiet, the stars are shining…
Let your worries fade and your dreams rise.
Tomorrow is another chance to win 🌙✨
Good Night 😴💫
Woah what if we make them KYC to verify their age? We think they would like that?

Yeah, they'd probably love that
Probably time to pick one of these Israeli verification companies to make normies feel safe. 🫶
do like the cool iOS bitcoin wallets and let users save their private keys to their iCloud account!
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
good luck out there, normies are scary
I think it's a good idea to do that. Don't have to take your social media keys too seriously especially if it's just shitposting
@HODL probably made 40 different twitter accounts back in the day, losing a key is not a big deal
idk man especially with all the WoT stuff, you lose your followers you lose your visibility
Passkeys are mainstream now, has anyone tried to adapt them for Nostr?
Who cares?
If you are looking to bolt in a normie-looking payment and record-sharing system, eventually, I’d be happy to chat about #nostr #safebox
vendors mostly
Full send bro
Nah bro login with Facebook
We share the same goal.
passkeys are also very likely an integral piece in the effort to tie digital state identity to authentication. Something to consider.
couldn't you do an SSO with an new generated and attached key could be an easy way to onboard new users.
Liek they sign in with whatever, but on the backend Wisp generates the keys and associates it to the account. Obvious loss in anonmity etc. but a foot in the door. They can make another account from scratch and then the rest is history.
I'm not sure keys are much of a barrier, still not really sure. It's just a password you can't change. They don't have to store it that safely like a bitcoin key, they can just put it into Google drive or whatever
Good luck
Good intention, what are your thoughts on this?
A compromised iCloud account would in itself be a bigger problem to deal with than the nostr account itself, from photos to contacts and SWA… it would be a teardrop in the ocean.
