Got to play and document the existence of an extremely odd guitar today. This was made in soviet russia, and we have been able to confirm that it was originally wired to be in stereo. 4 single coils, 5 knobs, 8 switches. It was set up recently by a very talented tech and plays amazingly now. Id venture to say this a 1 of 1 in todays world, but i cojld be wrong, as much of the history of this instrument is likely lost. For me, there is something magical about playing a guitar you dont understand that was made in a country that was gone by the time i arrived. Feels like its from another planet.
