Good morning! Last day for syncing my #monero node. About 12hrs left. It’s INSANE like changeing disk type makes a difference for sync. I initially was using a HDD and it was around 3 month ETA. Transfered my VM to a SSD and took barely 40 hrs to sync. Same CPU, RAM, only SDD instead of HHD.

I’m pretty happy with the complete redesign of @workstr I am removing as many friction as possible. There is basically 2 modes: 1- local-only : choosing so will remove anything #nostr, only backup and restore from file. I’m removing the Payments options (#monero, #bitcoin) and the auto-sync, beast mode, etc. 2- signed in (signer / extension or create your account) : all features available (#bitcoin, #monero, Beastmode, auto-sync, etc) Every payment mode will hide what they don’t use. #bitcoin Will show zap wallet, give option to zap program and we will see the top 3 zapped account. #monero Will hide zap, instead of zap it will be monero tip. Everything is already built and free to use.

How do you keep the fine balance between explaining the tech behind the app (NIP) for enthusiatics like me and the normies for which it would be too much info? I’ve spent significant time polishing the UX of @Workstr but I find it hard to find the balance. #asknostr

Im polishing up @workstr UX. I am very close to show this to family and coworker. it feels like a free high end fitness app that is PWA. Step 1 is to easily creat an account. The key will live on your devices cache but its really a small inconvenience to onboard people to #nostr without them even knowing it. I then finally got rid of the "transfer device" friction. You can now easily scan a QR Code on a second device (phone or desktop or tablet) and it will securely import the Nsec key via encrypted channel on Workstr-relay. Next step is to run Workstr own #monero node and have a way to generate a wallet in the PWA via Monero-ts and RPC. Adoption will come with a use case. The use case is @workstr Everybody loves a free #fitness app...
