They want you to switch to Nostr. 😊 Trying to nudge people away from centralized media. Just doing their part! Seriously, though, it’s funny to watch them waffle back and forth. We want to control you, but when you look elsewhere we lose advertising revenue. What to do!? It’s funny when someone sends me FB or TikTok links I find sometimes I can’t view it through a browser or can’t read the comments. And the next week I can. How do you paywall when my eyes are what pay your bills? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I'm a complete tech retard. And not joking. Even I use Ubuntu, and just got my wife to start using Mint. I guess we're both "cybersecurity threats". 🀣

I don't see the logic in perceiving Linux as a threat, especially if so much of their intra id Linuc. What does FB stand to gain from this? Unless their black box AI clustered Linux FB groups with cyber security threats and auto triggered censorship without any real person at the wheel.
Wasn't there a move to freespech by Zuck? Didn't last long... Sadly, this is not unexpected. Linux has no central appstore, Linux will not support always-on monitoring and will not enforce digital IDs to use the internet. So, Linux bad,
Happy to do some pleb testing! Does anything exist for communities at all? I think that could be a pretty useful development. With whole groups and communities moving to nostr adootion would definitely get a significant bump

This is shocking and outrageous. I just can't believe that in the day and age there are still people who use Facebook. Don't they believe in Science? Facebook has been proven to have zero respect for the customs' privacy, security or preferences. Ridiculous.

Indeed, previously they have "woke" censorship, now Musk censors "cis" and Zuck forbids insults based on saying someone is mentally ill unless it's based on sexual orientation. Moronic censorship then, moronic censorship now.

True. Individual can share their views. That's great. But groups are another thing entirely that nostr doesn't seem to do. Updates to a group, community building, group specific topics and discussions. So how exactly do "reddit like communities" work on nostr? As someone who would like to create a manage a group how is this accomplished? How far are they from what other platforms organise group discussions and micro community building interfaces?
Facebook depends on Linux. I don't believe they are that stupid to believe what they wrote themselves. Then again, stranger things have happened recently.
Anything less than total submission to their spyware and abusive behavior is a "threat," just like even the slightest questioning of the self-styled elite's narrative is "hate" to them.
Yes. Never access Facebook or Instagram or any Meta property, except through a virtual machine. Even doing that more than a few times a century is probably a bad idea. The bastards even read your device's mac address.
