The fact that some people are still alive is evidence of the great therapeutic value of both my dog and my cat ser.
My dog when I get one is about to take the birds out every morning & protect them throughout the day. I'm gonna post the journey on Nostr.
Huh what. You do know that statistically buying a dog increases your baseline happiness levels? If you're not a pet / animal person fine, but they legit make the world a better place for the vast majority of people that own them.
Up until this year I had a similar view, and then I got a dog and can unequivocally say my mood has improved as a result. I never understood dog people until now. Spending money on a pet is a waste in the same way mining bitcoin is a waste of energy 😉
💯humans first. Dogs peeing on my step every morning. What if I pee’d on their living space? Dog pee and human pee is 99.999% same.
I think breeders are terrible, they ruin the natural selection process and produce designer dogs that end up having genetic disorders. Also, there are so many dogs waiting to be adopted in shelters that only a minority of them survive long enough to find a family. I’m a shelter rescue dog owner and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Totally agree. I already helped with straight dogs and cats initiatives and That’s why I’m pro castrate them. There are too much of them abandoned already.
Yeah, I'll never get a large pure-bred dog again, big mistake. I love my dog but she is far more expensive than I expected. Next dog will be a tiny mutt that is a cross of 47 or more things. Healthiest and longest living.

Think about how much money and time is wasted to keep stray dogs in check every year.
People who need dogs to have any form of happiness or joy simply have other things to figure out, like health, etc. People who do want dogs and aren’t in it for that are just self choosing to have less freedom and autonomy to do what they desire with their life due to that dog entrapment. As someone who has had dogs for 2/3 of their life, I learned they take away productivity in tremendous amounts.

Actually you can make an even better meta-point: Dogs wouldn’t even exist without all this evolutionary effort. They would still be wolves. … and then draw the connections you like to any proof-of-work effect.

Lol, bet the dog is thinking humans are so much of work emotionally instead of just being happy with the simple things - food, nap, walks :)
Zero benefit for you, not the dog owner. No one pays money for zero benefit
