Exactly. I wouldn’t cheer anything that connects to the big corporate applications that collect a lot of your data.
buy cheap used chromebook. 50 bucks and you can make several accounts that use device for 2fa and google trusts as base identity. Use it when you have to verify the things and otherwise leave it turned off.

Ok cool thing! But this doesn’t match my deGoogle strategy 🤓 so instead of using Google Drive as a storage provider, let’s have a look at other FOSS solutions? What about a blossom-server? I’ve setup one last week at nstore.nostrver.se and I’m digging into how I can use drives and upload blobs on this server from Nuxstr (just a nostr sandbox client I’m building as a Vue/Nuxt template for Nostr clients)

maybe NIP-65 should specify grades of importance
like this would be "write" but with lowest priority somehow such that others won't connect to it to download your stuff

You signin with your Google Account, and then it's a Nostr Relay that saves your events to Google Drive so you have a backup copy of them.
If you have a copy of your events, you can import them into Nostr apps and restore them to relays in case of failure.
Its basically a low barrier of entry way for the average user to backup their own data using a familiar tool and account they probably already have.
