I wish instead of bitchat we would try to use Samiz more and get it on iOS as well
> Your phone talks to the city-wide mesh network No, my phone is talking to one specific LoRa device, and given the Bluetooth range on my phone, there's a 100% certainty that this LoRa device belongs to me. So instead of using the proven software from the MeshCore authors, I'm like an idiot using Bitchat and some kind of bridge in MeshCore, just so the world knows I'm a Jack Dorsey fanboy and so he can be sure that Bitchat isn't crap and is at least useful to someone. Okay.
First of all, although I like @jack a lot, I'm a fanboy of @calle who I consider a spiritual leader of the cypherpunk movement. He teaches in code. Second, about the range, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about:). And we're building it for the people shown on the picture below. How many of them have a battery powered Lora device in their pocket? Hopefully at least one. How many of them have a phone with Bluetooth? 100%. So take your head out of your ass, we're not building for your apartment to chat with your friends, there's a whole world out there that needs this yesterday. To know where the cops shooting to civilians are, if the communications work, if the flights after flying, which grocery store has food. image

Your amazing thank you.
Not any Meshcore, this bridge specifically. Original meshcore knows nothing about Bitchat And it has many bugs, looking forward to pull requests.
Do I understand correctly this is like “MeshCore repeater firmware”? So I deploy it to the lora device on the roof with a big antenna and my phone will talk to this repeater directly, no need to have “companion firmware”.
