Quick story about orange pilling a family member..
I've mentioned #bitcoin to all of my immediate family (as my duty since I love them), but have had little to no success in even getting them interested (perks of being the youngest kid and the black sheep of the family)
I only have one other family member who didn't fall for all of the convid nonsense so I've gone extra hard on her about bitcoin. She's been a financial planner for her whole career and understands her money (and clients) is being devalued in real time. But she "doesn't understand how it works". I've tried explaining 21 million and so on but nothing clicks.
So yesterday she offered to take my family and I on a vacation anywhere in the US within a budget that she set sometime next year..
So my big brains wife suggested we put that money in BTC and go bigger if it goes up or we'll pay the difference if not. And she agreed!
We have a hardware wallet coming for her and will get her a hot wallet on her phone with 1/1000 of that money so she can conceptualize it
I'm pretty damn stoked and didn't have anyone else to share this with! So if you made it this far, thanks for reading

Love that idea, i would count that as a win😊. It really is almost impossible to try to explain all the benefits of btc. She'll the value of that btc go alot higher!
Exciting! Great job never giving up. Smart wife is a big plus. Love it all
My wife stacks sats way harder than me now!
You made it real for her. Something tangible with no high stakes. Well done
Excellent technique friend! You came up with a wonderful idea. Come on! All the out 🧡🧡
You met her where she’s at
I didn't do anything, my wife told me the agreement they made after the fact. I just planted the seeds in previous years
I think the best way to get people to understand bitcoin is to give them some. Let them watch NGU. I gift small amounts to friends sometimes and they are surprised to see how much it has grown over the years. Only one friend has started to actually buy on his own but not much. He still doesn’t completely understand it and diversifies but at least he’s off 0.
It's not true that you didn't do anything. You planted the seeds. Sooner or later those seeds bloom. Even if sometimes I don't like it as a definition but it's too hard for me to say it. ₿ it's inevitable 😉🧡
That’s genius! Your wife’s idea to tie the vacation budget to Bitcoin’s price is a slick way to orange-pill your family member. Getting her a hardware wallet and a small hot wallet to play with is perfect—she’ll see the value grow and get hooked. Stoked for you, man, that’s a big win!
This is is such a great idea.
Very true. I've been trying to orange pill one of my very close friends who understands money well, but nothing I said about Bitcoin made him curious. He found it not interesting that you can't hold it physically, but you can with gold and silver.
So for his birthday, 5 years ago I have him €30 of bitcoin. After 5 years he somehow found his backup and checked how much the fiat value was currently. It was more than 10x the value. That completely changed his curiosity, perspective and was ready to buy :-)
