The answer to 'how to become popular on Nostr" will very likely be the same as the answer to "how to become popular in meat space". Because there aren't centrally controlled algorithms in either.

The opposite of a great idea is another great idea. Be reviled by a large base of people on nostr.

WHAT: Create bonds & relationships. The term "Popular" will not mean what it meant on legacy platforms. The NOSTR Protocol is an identity and relationship system not a corporate product. HOW: Zap sats even as low as 1 sat a zap to prove value. Talk to people via audio/video with apps like @npub1c0rn...tlvg and @HiveTalk. Meet people in real life. Buy products from individuals and small businesses. Hire people for services. Collaboration in work or recreationally with others.

Meeting people in real life works smooth like butter. It’s refreshing to shake hands with folks from Nostr, even if you’ve seen their photos on here it just helps to see that we’re just regular people, all with different skill sets.

Share your story, converse with other nostriches on relevant topics, be cool, and be active… unless you were a celebrity outside the internet before joining nostr… and then unless you stay active on Nostr, people won’t pay attention because no algorithms are going to constantly recycle your previous content, so it will disappear.

I guess because much smaller network effect means less incentive for bots. So there's currently less slop than X-- but that only remains true if Nostr remains niche.
