C’mon folks, THIS is what brings people to Nostr. Not that its a protocol. Not that it’s censorship resistant. Not that it has zaps. Its when they see REAL STUFF here. Real folks are making and inventing stuff here, building heaters that mine sats while keeping your room warm, 3D printing doo dads, knitting socks, painting pictures, binding books, making soaps, keeping bees, and the list goes on and on. Plus the community offers to help each other out with the technical details and setup of just about anything! The STUFF catches peoples eye, then they find out that Nostr has features that just don’t exist anywhere else. That’s where the developers come in. They’re the ones who are upgrading the features of Nostr that make it like a mini internet where you can listen to music, shop, read, and socialize without Skynet deciding what brands you’re going to advertise for them. People aren’t going to come to Nostr because of Bitcoin. That discussion isn’t a welcome mat for anyone. Everything is too expensive, and people dont want to join a bitch session about WHY everything is too expensive. They want to see awesome people making cool stuff, being supportive of one another, solving problems, inventing new stuff that serves multiple purposes, focusing on quality over quantity, and not begging for likes and subscriptions. #grownostr View quoted note →
