Could these be adapted so that when the $tag (boost, comment or like) then the number or users to be rewarded can be included within the $tag Will leave a space between '$' and the tag so that it does not trigger but below are examples $ boost20 $ comment 24 $ like43

Yes, it would - but due to the zap involvement, it also has an additional incentive. There will be those just trying to grab a few sats, but also those who genuely need to spread a message far and wide. I still think that Nostr thrives off the organic nature, but it honestly doesn't hurt to have a bit of sat-driven incentives to propell something to the top. It can be used for good and bad, naturally, so let's see what nostriches do with this. :)
