After getting back into the habit of drinking coffee daily, I’m trying to quit cold turkey today.
I’ve never done it this way before because the headaches were brutal, but I want to give it a shot. Maybe I’ve changed.

I did this once. Gave me headache first two to three days. I drank tea instead during those days to replace the habbit. It was black tea, which I hoped it would lessen the withdrawl symptoms, since it also contains caffeine, but I doubt that helped. Forth day was fine already. Next time I would do it gradually.
Quitting coffee is harder than quitting fiat 😆 but both are totally worth it.
I had to detox for a whole year once because I used to get horrible migraines on after working 5 days in the office with basically a free caffeine mainline drip and then sleeping in on Saturday. It got to a point where I was missing whole days with friends and family, so I knew I had to fix it. After a year, I was finally able to slowly add caffeine back and manage my intake properly and have had almost no migraines since then.
I tried cutting it out before and it didn't go well but switching to green tea instead was enough to take the edge off but I drank twice as much green tea as I did coffee.
That all ended and I'm back to mainlining caffeine again.
That’s what I did all the time. I made such thick green tea batches, they weren’t green anymore 😂
Today is the first time I’m just drinking water + electrolytes.
So far only some slight headache. Nothing terrible.
Why quit coffee though? 🤔
I’ll explain — but you might not get it 😂 Just because you are built different.
Different bodies handle coffee differently. You’re probably one of those people who thrives on it.
I actually do better without it — most of the time, at least. I experience less burnout and feel more in control, especially when doing something delicate like video editing.
This helped before too. I've done this fast once and also made this again before to try and cut down on the caffeine addiction but it always comes back.
Setting a timer to drink some every 10-15 minutes sounds crazy but it really helps as a reminder and you feel better all over.
I used 8 normal green tea bags and lemon/line juice in the bottles.
Also just noticed thissaid Distilled Water. I just got a jug of spring water so you have the jug to put this back into after it's made.
