The only thing X has on nostr is the network effect if you ask me. That's why a lot of the people are still there. They have cultivated giant followings. Otherwise it's a hell hole.

Actually, I kinda hate this about Nostr, but since I don't really like doom scrolling or being fed hyperbolic videos harvested somehow from TikTok or stupid ads, this is such a better place. And algorithms? I guess certain clients could certainly draw people in with that kind of crap if that's what they want.

The X algorithms are designed to find content that generates an emotional response in you. On X when you say something retarded everyone jumps in to call you out. On Nostr we curate our own feed. If you say something retarded, we tend to just ignore it. There's no problem with Nostr engagement.

That is your work to do There is no algo to do that for you, so nostr is proof of work The vast majority of what I see on here has nothing to do w bitcoin and nostr itself fwiw
