every nostr client could have an integrated Cashu wallet β even better a NIP-60 Cashu wallet bound to your nsec.
zero-click onboarding for receiving zaps. the only conscious choice a user needs to make is to select a mint to manually charge their wallet. I'm confident that we will have a wide range of choices for trusted mints in the future. we're already seeing much more growth than I've ever expected.
your app can have a Bitcoin wallet with insane privacy, send and receive zaps and interact with other future nostr services. you don't need to be primal and have corporate partnerships to create this experience for your users.

This 100 percent needs to happen so people can gradually learn about wallets and such... Not first thing. nostr:nprofile1qqsyv5nszs3qdfq7y2rlmjvphd48dqxa28pxd034vh9zwpy6zzp2hfqprpmhxue69uhhqun9d45h2mfwwpexjmtpdshxuet5m9npkvi think would agree.
LFG π Listened to your recent interview with @ODELL on the @CITADEL DISPATCH and am eagerly looking forward to the continued development of #cashu. Convenience + privacy is much needed if weβre intending to onboard the whole world to #nostr. Thx for your work ππΌ
The Olas experience is a great example of this. Iβve received nutzaps into a brand new wallet without existing liquidity or requiring a custodial lightning wallet. Logged out, deleted app, reinstalled, reapplied nsec and the ecash is there again (Iβm guessing from a relay!?) π€―
Yes, from a relay.
What would be the most important factors you look for when selecting a mint?
BTW, under the hood, #nostr #safebox is NIP-60 compliant. If you know the nsec and home relay you can pull out the proofs with any other NIP-60 implementation.
NIP-60 is the basis for full financial freedom at lightning speed.

Is there a simple step by step document on how to do this ?
Do I need to do it separately on every device / client combo ?
Look at 0xChat. Pretty much what they did. They even defaulted the mint. Which isn't a bad idea. Follow that.
This sounds awesome, and a game changer for Nostr zaps adoption. πππ
What are the downsides and risks, out of interest?
If I'm understanding it would be,
- Loss of funds due to user accidentally leaking nsec
- Mint can rug you (not an issue specific to this solution)
- Everyone ends up using the default mint chose by the most popular nostr client that implements this?
MAGIC INTERNET MONEY
Working on it π«‘
Can't wait for this on amethyst
His signer on IoS was a game changer before nsec bunker each version was a big upgrade and each version had special attributes
(You were using a custodial wallet the entire time)
Nutzaps/ecash is custodial lightning, but yes itβs still cool.
Ah yeah I stand corrected. The UX is great though and I guess the privacy is much better
like the other 99% of nostr users
We can change that Calle :)
sure go ahead, we're waiting for it

Nutzaps... who names these things?
Yeah the olas wallet is next level
Love
this is my plan for my client - which depends heavily on payments, as it's a client specifically intended as the interface for a bounty market
Very interesting
