Good morning, if you are starting to notice you've been bamboozled and led into a minority fork, there is no shame in changing your mind.
It's your bitcoin on the line.

We will welcome the Bip110ers back with open arms.

Changing the consensus SHOULD be hard AF.
It should be one of the top reasons you Bitcoin.
Gotta love Nostr man. Thank you for posting my comment 4 times!
Core was pretty casual about removing the 80 byte limit
Oh look another shill, nice.
Yeah, everything is fine. An angry mob of numbskulls can just get spun up and call everyone pedos and enemies of bitcoin, and we'll just pretend like it never happened. That's totally a thing in Bitcoin.
Keep in mind, the majority of the BIP110ers are very new bitcoiners. The average pleb who supports BIP110 shouldn’t be exiled for being duped by a bunch or retards who wanted to seize control of the protocol. Their leaders however can fork off
Surprised he didn’t suggest sending a cease and desist since historically thats how he deals with conflict😂
or buying up all the domains similar to bip110 and knots, then redirecting people to his site
Nah. Lopp jumped right on that. NVK never stood a chance.
Another mask is off. Bad actors are also saying your node doesn't matter and "plebs never mattered".

Hey, my soon to be replace Coldcard is connected to my wallet through my node. Long live seed signer. Go fuck your self.
Nah.
What's the split, do you think, between BIP-110ers who say "Wow, I was eggregioisly misled about the way this would unfold" and those who will just make up a new conspiracy about why they failed?
Bitcoin: Made by Satoshi and given FREE-LY to the world. Open source, free to use, develop on ect.
Guy makes a wallet to help us secure our Bitcoin. THANK YOU because I secure with cold card.
Guy makes profit from free and open source Bitcoin which is someone else’s creation and it is all good.
Guy then makes clock…someone else makes profit from copying his clock because it is a fork of the clock and he sells it cheaper.
THEN all of a sudden this free and open source shhhh is no longer cool????
You are funny NVK. Calm down man, or should I use your teams phrases?
“The free market will decide.”
It sounds hypocritical to me. NO?
And for god sakes stop pretending that a “minority fork” is synonymous with hard fork. They are different and you know it. You also know that minority fork is alarming for those that don’t know the difference.
#bitcoin
#btclock
#runbip110
He is free to make his clock, not to impersonate our brand. It's morally wrong to impersonate someone's work.
I have to agree with you on that.
I guess I’m not into the minutia of the case. Name impersonation, or design of clock?
they lost me on that pedo shit. I could tell they didn't have a better argument than to make up ad hominim attacks.
but I still think 100kb op returns are dumb AF, thats why I'm running core v29 forever.
That’s your long term solution? Just stay on v29?
I see why the pedo stuff put you off but can you see why they said that?
Bitcoin is being attacked. Is that clear to you?
I don’t think it’s just numb skulls. I take that personally. How about Jeff booth. Is he an idiot too?
Jeff is not technically apt to understand this
So were still at "trust the experts" Great to see nothing's changed.
Jeff's just an Austrian thinkboi. Zero commits in the source code -- like pretty much every single supporter of BIP-110, with the exception of Luke.
Where are Jeff's commits in the source code? I'm not deferring to experts -- I'm asking for proof of work.
Saylor on the other hand? Great Bitcoin contributer?
I thought we were the ones that were solely relying on name calling. Guess not.
bro if you're man enough saying such shit
you should tag him
be a man
here I did it for you
@Jeff Booth
What profound technical argument convinced you? All I've heard from Core is "you can't stop all spam so why bother lol ur dumb" and I've asked several core devs directly. I'm pretty sure Jeff can understand this level of complexity and why it's retarded.
I have no issues discussing this with @Jeff Booth
Is this in context? Always thought nvk was one of the good devs? Coldcard is a solid wallet
That’s not a consensus change bro come on now
Missed the context, what pedo shit?
what would you suggest as a way forward?
He was in the past. Something happened to him and currently he is one of the bad actors. Many masks fell off.
Currently the Coretards hate Bitcoin node runners, especially Bitcoin Knots and BIP-110. They also facilitate shitcoins and scams like Citrea and Naka and many more.
i don't hate anyone, many things were said about me, dyor
I have seen enough and read enough.
Ratchet down the rhetoric, stop assuming bad faith on the part of every individual under the Core banner, go back to the discussion as adults
I agree with Samson Mow
Bitcoin core is out of control

You can run newer versions and change the op return lower.
I thought they removed that ability
I think it was their shitty way of backing down. You can go into bitcoin.conf and change "datacarriersize=83" and its the same as before.
I’d be willing to bet the people with #BIP-110 in their profiles won’t sell their bitcoin to buy the 110 fork coin if/when they fork off

True, not a consensus change. No soft fork or speedy trial needed. But it’s still messed up to change the policy and remove the option for nodes to set their own data carrier limit.
This is the correct take, good shit.
What are you running on your own node?
I am not a new bitcoiner.
- I can acknowledge that BIP110 is unfortunate.
- I am certain that core needs a disciplinary response to an unforgivable way of handling the clearly controversial datacarriersize change.
- Running older version of core is not sustainable in the long run and implicitly proves distrust to the core anyway
- Considering BIP110 from a code standpoint - and not from the unfortunate "forced" nature of the softfork proposal - I dont recognize, (from a technical point of view) how BIP110 makes bitcoin WORSE money.
- I do however recognize how 100kb datacarriersize makes bitcoin worse money
- I dont care about programmable money enough that I would in any way jeopardize bitcoin as borinh actual money.
So - with no ad hominem attacks at all - and with a constructive attitude -
I can acknowledge that it's a SUPER tough debate with good arguments on both sides.
How do I neglect the non-negotiable fact that
1. I have built distrust to Core and thus
2. need to run SOMETHING else
3. I technically dont disagree with knots + bip110
4. Disagree with forcing a minority softfork because its dangerous to the credibility of the bitcoin experiment
Open to suggestions 🙏
you may not see it, but this is your vibe on all your replies

Humans are tribal, specially in fear. Tribalism makes humans use their brains to justify aggression. Aggression taken to an extreme is war. War is stupid. Civilization is love for what we have achieved. Let’s keep building, being fucking respectful and strongly disagreeing with whatever we feel like it.
The most sensical response in this entire thread and one of the best arguments in the entire Core vs Knots debate I have heard. 👊
Sad to see NVK. I will stop recommending your products. @SeedSigner for the win.
Thank you, appreciate that 🙏

Luke, mechanic, and kratter spent most of 2025 trying to convince everyone that large op_returns would result in child porn on the blockchain, thus everyone who ran core v30 is either a pedo or a pedo enabler.
