"We're going to run the country until we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition." "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies, the biggest anywhere in the world, go in and spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure, and start making money for the country. We are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so." - President Trump.

Translation: "We're going to install a puppet dictator so we can run the country like a business and collect all the money, all while exploiting the people and ignoring their human rights. You know, slavery."

I joined right out of high school and I'm in my 40s now. I didn't know as much about the world when I was a teenager as I do now. I learned, I woke up. Even back then, I wasn't in a war zone and didn't necessarily agree with all the things the military did. How do you feel about being judged by what you did or thought 20-30 years ago?

Yeah proud to have served, The policies that led to what happened after I got out, I disagree with. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.

Geopolitics is a bitch. They probably should have let Russia into NATO back in the 1990s. A CIA backed ruler in Venezuela prevents a China / Russia ally in the region. That's all I can think of. I still don't like any of this. Governments are bullshit.

Russia != Soviet Union Also governments suck generally. At least if they are all in the same alliance than they don't have anyone to send their people to kill or be killed.

The Venezuelan people don’t care about their oil. They don’t reap the benefits of it anyway. They just want freedom from dictatorship
Gen. Smedly would not be surprised as he said war is a racket, and this banana republic playbook still the same after a hundred years

#capitalism will do anything for profits. #bitcoin does not automatically fix this greedy corruption.

True.. But is that better? Apparently it's acceptable by Western ethics now?
If you operate under the assumption that governments are just cartels, then it is just cartel actions.

This is straight up imperialism and theft. Trump is a crook, but deems himself untouchable. Look at Syria. Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq thry are completely destroyed
