How many years has it been now that you still can't explain what Nostr is?
Users, developers, and paying customers:
- Users cannot dictate what developers will create.
- Developers cannot dictate what users will prefer.
- Paying customers can determine the speed, direction, and viability of some projects, but not control the other two.
Yup, more so on nostr than anything else since "I'll just use this other client that's doing what I want and not this one, with absolutely no friction at all"
Nostr is us, not them. Feels freeing.

I'm not a dev.. here is what I want, I want to be able to add custom icons to my username using URLs, my goal is to add a Bitcoin ico to my username since the Bitcoin emoji doesn't exist in the emojis.

Vibe coding allows people without the technical skills the opportunity to build their own experience too. Maybe not as polished, but fun to do.
Grateful that one dev on nostr seems to understand this. Excited to try amethyst when I finally switch to android. Been a long time coming.

Nostr is most definitely a hornets nest of devs who make it whatever they want it to be.
There are basicaly almost no users. Only devs.
Honestly the first time in years I can say a true amen to this. Nostr is true freedom
