Pretty stoked after my day with @Alby Hub. Managed to get everything set up to my liking. Now any lightning txs that go to btcsessions@getalby.com will go directly to my self custodial lightning node purring away on my @npub126nt...e9ll. I was also able to seamlessly link all of this to @ZEUS on my phone. I've got some editing to do, but the tutorial will show how to use the cloud hosted option first, followed by a full self sovereign setup on your own hardware. Looking forward to releasing this one.

This will be great. We need more tutorials. From my perspective, lightning is the most difficult piece to self host in a usable and friendly way.

I wonder what are the privacy implications of using Albys servers for communications… Did you try zuespay?
Ditto. Running on !POP_OS though. I'll very likely upgrade down the road after kicking the tires a bit more. Looking forward to your review.
My experience with @Alby has been great thus far. I think they are heading in the right direction with the hub approach. Building bridges for sure.
Hey Dr Stacker, feel free to join our Open Hours programme! :) We meet with users on support calls but also we host special Onboarding Sessions to Alby Hub!

It can be if you over-complicate it. I've found having fewer but larger channels makes things WAY easier. As long as you know your general habits (if you expect to receive or send more often) then you're all set and can act accordingly.
i think an updated tutorial on balancing channels with whatever tools are available now would be very helpful especially since alby has gone self custodial
Have you done a video on how to balance one's lightning channels, and what to be aware of...?
