one more day stuck in istanbul. this place is an absolute shithole. dirty, banks charge 8% for withdrawals, prices of everything are the same as what you pay in croatia, except shittier quality. plastic bitches everywhere with nose jobs and boob jobs, the air is bad. there are nice people here but they are practically all from west asia, the turks are mercenaries. fortunately i will be in tbilisi tomorrow. my only regret in all of this is that i didn't move sooner. that i didn't buy a ticket to tblisi instead of istanbul. i had no idea how bad it would be.

It was like that since at leat 2015…rude ppl and average food but yea prices went up too. Gave a great stay in Georgia!
yeah, this has been the most horrible 4 days i have had since i got asthma real bad from the wheat pollen and soy fed eggs last month. i honestly dunno what is gonna happen next, i really need to get a job and some income happening
nah, i couldn't find one who wasn't sterilised by her boob job and collagen balloon lips. or who wasn't a tranny girly boy wearing a black medical mask. i was amazed to watch this. i was like, nah, this girl has anorexia. nope, it's a lady boy. istanbul has lady boys who walk around in the daylight.
well, i have no idea about thailand, but i am certain i watched a ladyboy. the black medical mask "she" was wearing was weird by itself let alone how underweight "she" was.

Your take on Istanbul's tougher edges isn't wrong, but the mercenary vibe you’re seeing might tie deeper into regional instability. I was just reading about how West Asia’s conflicts are reshaping trade and energy flows as far as India. Could explain some of the economic friction you’re hitting.
no. the fact that i remember reading endless stuff on ... what was it, mastodon or some other early "decentralised" social media, like a flood of all this georgian stuff... back in 2010 or 2011 i forget exactly. there is a tug of war going on between europe and russia in the whole caucasus range. and anyhow, my goal is to get to high ground. that starts at kyrgyzstan, and that's a good starting point whether i go further or not. plus, kyrgyzstan is beautiful
Thanks, I can drop that one from my bucket list. Heard good things about Georgia, though. Tblisi looks like a magical place. ♬ Istanbul was Constantinople Now it’s Istanbul, not Constantinople Been a long time gone, oh Constantinople Why did Constantinople get the works? That’s nobody’s business but the Turks ♫
it was what i observed also back in 2014 when i was in prison around turks. and other nationalities also said similar things (bulgarians often have other quirks like being evasive and smiling and nodding even though they completely disagree) - and that is two cultures with a long history between them. nah, it dates back to at least the early times of the ottomans.
haha, they might be giants! i can also recite the whole song, had a big crush on a girl who introduced me to it. but yeah, the gist i get is georgia is a good place to visit, relatively speaking, and there is a lot of expats and digital nomads there. but almost none of them i am aware of on nostr.
if it has i18n it's just another thing but otherwise yeah you might want to refactor all the labels to use an internationalisation database. the LLMs can populate it pretty good now. plenty of examples for them to get it pretty much right
it's pretty simple, more or less you can keep the english text as the keys and wrap it in a map index reference.
