⚡️🚨 NEW - Spotify and major labels (Sony, Warner, UMG) obtained a court order against Anna’s Archive, taking down its .org domain. They secretly sued the shadow library over its ~300TB scrape of Spotify music metadata and tracks (claiming ~86M files, ~99% of Spotify's catalog). The lawsuit was filed under seal; Anna’s Archive wasn’t notified until after the takedown. Anna’s Archive remains accessible via mirrors and alternatives, but this was a stealth infrastructure takedown.

What's a stealth infrastructure takedown? What makes this different from all the other domain registry related attacks on shadow libraries? The same happened to LibGen just a few weeks ago. It's completely normal to only learn of your domain being taken from you after the fact or else you'd just move it to a different domain registry.

Never heard of Anna's Archive. Have they moved to a new domain yet?
many simply do not yet know the concept of decentralization, managing a site that is more centralized is easier than one where they give more control to the user.
What are your official mirrors? Currently our official mirrors are: - annas-archive.li - annas-archive.pm - annas-archive.in Not recommended mirrors (don’t contribute back) - welib.org (NOT RECOMMENDED): They have forked our codebase and files. They haven’t released their new code as open source, nor have they shared any new collections. Fraudulent - annas-archive.su (DO NOT USE): Uses our name without permission. Steals your donations. Who is Anna? You are Anna! No but seriously, how do I know if official communication is from Anna? So far we’ve had a continuous chain from our first publication (on PiLiMi.org) to the current set of domains. In case all our domains get taken down, causing confusion about what constitutes official communication from Anna, here is a public key you can use to verify our signed signatures. Do not use this public key when sending us messages! We do not have the private key to this readily available, it’s stored away for emergencies. -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- xjMEAAAAABYJKwYBBAHaRw8BAQdALQ/QcjyTg8kjI3qpoudsCX+jwh5tl2ExBBm0 LgE9hHnNDkFubmEgQXJjaGl2aXN0wmEEExYIABMFAgAAAAAJENsxLDJ+WGBAAhsD AABppwEArVPP1JLxdnnahvHiiG6CpqnGdylqBDJ4YGwYcwP7Qk4BAIVFVYmd0aQg Yf6q+OhORfJN9w+ytvUQ/q3p2fSFweEL =keqc -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- What are your favorite books? I'm surprised it's "only" 300TBs, kinda. I mean, that's huge, but smaller than I woulda guessed
