When I first listened to Andreas Antonopoulos on Joe Rogan in 2016, it clicked because I was new to #Bitcoin.
Fast forward to 2024, and itβs clear: Andreas was 100% right. Everything he predicted is unfolding in real-time. This is the world we live in now.

used to be one of us.. still grateful for all his work
Andreas was always and will always be the best bitcoin talking head. Nothing we have now comes close (sorry bitcoin talking heads).

He was several times. And they're still good!
Why do you think that he isn't anymore?
I choose free, un-branded, and lightning fast freedom units.

Yes and today some service member said to a customer: sry you canβt pay with cash. And I had a flashback to when Andreas said on Rogans show.. you money isnβt good here.
It was when I listened to Andreas video of the meeting he had with a Canadian group of Representatives that I got orange pilled.
He is the tre GOAT.

There are people who can think far beyond their time, and not only speculative - but convinced of their premises and understandings. π«‘
he helped me a lot too, I got sad when I realised he's a shitcoiner :(
He was on Rogan in 2014 too.
WOW awesome

Great clip and moment in time to point out! And such an important part of why this movement is so huge and moving so fast!
Love it! And Iβm using this clip to help with my orange pilling attempt with my nephew π€ππ
Yea but obviously its getting used less and less, and being brushed away by incentives to use card and other cashless processes (by the state level at least, certainly not business owners). And heβs right about the legality of paying for anything over $1k in cash. The British peeps on here are always up in arms about that
β¦is it βup in armsβ?β¦β¦ π€π€π
Thanks for sharing

This makes me so glad that Monero exists.
Iβve seen this guy come up quite a bit. Is he on nostr?

Can't use it at a lot of places like Major League Baseball games or coffee shops.
I added my Strike ACH information to my Discover card this week.
Credit cards suck for privacy, but the market prefers public displays of wealth and frivolous spending. Reading A Cypherpunk's Manifesto to a cashier making $16 an hour will not fix this.
I'm tired of feeling like a LARP by using fiat to pay my bills, so I'm slowly moving off fiat. My wife is finally coming around to the idea, but she wants me to test the waters first.
Yeah, I don't know how the world looked to westerners and much more experienced people at that time in 2016. But for me in Lithuania all I knew at that time was that my life had been improving continuously since 1990 since Lithuania started getting closer to the west, I did not care what political systems were there abroad, had no clue how banks operated, had no clue what political parties existed in USA, and would not have listened to anybody who had any opinion other than Lithuanian most pro-western polititians. So basically, for me nothing was broken, banks were fantastic, they were a big part of what took the russian commies away from me. So I would never have listened to anything like bitcoin that wanted to fix what wasn't broken for me, especially when that was my savior as I thought then.
That said, I had heard then that there were opinions that 9/11 was organised by US gov., and I did not discard the possibility, but I did not care. Because I thought that if they did it, then it had to be done, because they "are the good guys", and know what needs to be done, because it seemed obvious to me that they ensure good life to all the freedom and truth loving people around the world.
That does not mean I was brainwashed. All that was totally logical based on the tangible world that I had experienced until then. For good reasons that paid back to me and everyone deserving around me, I just hated russians and commies that much and loved the west that much. Little did I know rhat this same west created the commies in the first place, and all the illnesses and all that. The only way at that time to convince me otherwise was to explain how they tricked russians 100 years ago, how they confiscated gold from their own people, explain not to me but to my grandparents who had past away by then, so that they would explain to me how they unknowingly fooled me with the lies they believed themselves. I would not have listened to anyone else. The only other way was for the west to become commies oppressors themselves. Which they successfully did with anti-Trump stance and later covid, and sure enough it convinced me pretty well π.
So that is the kind of people you are dealing with in the east and center. But those that were not converted by covid are hopeless. I am fine to write them off.
It does not concern me. I don't want to get on zero because I think I'll end up with more spending power. I don't want any fiat in the banking system for ideological reasons.
Thatβs some solid shit right there
