I have been using #Linux since 2011 and have never been on the latest Linux kernel at the time. As an example #NixOS 26.05 came with 6.18.x family while the newest stable is the 7.3 family. I made a one-line change to my configuration file, and now I am on the latest stable kernel, and will continue tracking the latest stable kernel.
The 6.18 family was originally released in, like, late 2025, and while I've been getting point releases, like, 6.18.56 released October 11th, that's still not the newest kernel family, obviously.

I am very interested in GNOME OS. I have been a GNOME user for years and them making their own reference distro is interesting to me.
I'm also very interested in immutable Linux systems, as while it makes it harder to edit the base, it also makes things more stable, and I have ended up in dependency hell enough times to really appreciate that.

i put Proof of Work on my notes not because the relays I use demand it, but because I know storage and transmitting bits aint free. even a small PoW shows that I would be ready if a relay said "I will cut down on the spam I host by requiring Pow"
oh nice. #MeshCore firmware 1.18 is out with some pretty nice improvements. As an example, repeater loop detect is now set at minimal by default instead of off.
While I disagree that AI will choose Bitcoin as their medium of exchange, since it's totally public, I don't doubt at all that #Monero will offer the same benefits.
