If you want stories: John Steinbeck Light pieces: Tortilla Flat, The Wayward Bus Heavier stuff: The Grapes of Wrath (Pulitzer Prize for this one) If you want philosophy: Søren Kierkegaard Only read one thing so far, The Sickness unto Death, and it helped me through some serious existential crisis. (I recommend to search for some interpretations, youtube videos will do, since it‘s written in classic philosophy language which is not easy to grasp) If you want something practical: nostr:nprofile1qqsd4dkxqewy8xum47ctpu0ltgxxsfemeewpjkdyzk9ddfcg286s0dspzdmhxue69uhk7enxvd5xz6tw9ec82c30qyd8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytn6v43x2er9v5hxxmr0w4jz7jkhgq8 wrote a bunch of great books, for example Cryptocurrencies – Hack your way to a better life

I'm not very far into it yet. I've been reading it allowed to our son. So far I've been having a lot of fun using different voices for each of the characters. Especially the old witch. I'm finding the author's writing style to be engaging. Also I'm drawn to the political intrigue, prophecy, espionage, and looking forward to exploring the world further as the story continues.

Nice. I'm sure your son's enjoying that! And yeah, the world building is absolutely top-tier. It's hard to create such a fleshed out, believable setting without it seeming forced, but he nails out. I must watch the movies soon. Been meaning to for a while.

He just sits there and smiles at me when I pop out from behind the book (he's not quite six months old). I'm primarily using it as enjoyable practice for reading to our children (current and futute) as they get older. It's important to my wife and I that they have the opportunity to love reading. I unfortunately fell out of the habit, and I have been trying to work back into the habit.
