I'm not very far into it yet. I've been reading it allowed to our son. So far I've been having a lot of fun using different voices for each of the characters. Especially the old witch.
I'm finding the author's writing style to be engaging. Also I'm drawn to the political intrigue, prophecy, espionage, and looking forward to exploring the world further as the story continues.

Nice. I'm sure your son's enjoying that! And yeah, the world building is absolutely top-tier. It's hard to create such a fleshed out, believable setting without it seeming forced, but he nails out. I must watch the movies soon. Been meaning to for a while.
He just sits there and smiles at me when I pop out from behind the book (he's not quite six months old). I'm primarily using it as enjoyable practice for reading to our children (current and futute) as they get older. It's important to my wife and I that they have the opportunity to love reading.
I unfortunately fell out of the habit, and I have been trying to work back into the habit.
