This is horrible, it’s like the Covid argument. “I don’t need to know anything, just look at how many “doctors” say I should take 1700 boosters!” Appeals to authority are the lowest form of argument.

I completely disagree. You can’t compare doctors to core devs. There are way more idiot doctors. The number of expert bitcoin core devs is easily verified from the contributions and skill, especially when you have see their work up close like i have
claude disagrees, and doesn't this read like a list of arguments that have been made: Much worse than appeals to authority: • Outright fabrication - making up facts or evidence • Threats and coercion - “agree with me or else” • Arguments that incite violence or target vulnerable groups • Complete evidence denial - refusing to engage with any contrary information • Circular reasoning that makes productive discussion impossible • Deliberate misrepresentation of opponents’ positions

Not as well known as the "appeal to Authority" fallacy but useful nonetheless.: Argumentum ad hominem a formal fallacy that occurs when one concludes that a proposition must be false simply because an argument used to support it is fallacious.
Somehow core devs are immune to groupthink, ideology, coercion, and social pressures. They are not like us mere mortals you see.
