Chicken shit. I don't have a scientific explanation but I have noticed it does more for the plants then other shit. I have tried tortoise shit which is very similar to horse shit without much luck.
Yes. Both are amazing for different reasons. Horse is good for lighter application areas where nutrients are more plentiful. Chicken is higher in nutrients but can burn & damage if its not applied properly / composted

More nitrogen in the chicken shit and you have to wait down to two months to mature if hot. Cold, minimum 6 months like horse shit. Use what you have !
You need a ph meter as well. You want it between 6-7 . Unless you want a high calcium uptake for cell division. You would want liquid bone meal and then the pH is 7-7.5. You will also need microbes for better uptake in that situation.

ive never used either but then, im not a very good gardener mushroom compost & veggie compost yea but i dont have any sort of full operation going on i grow some herbs we hang out, we chat sometimes its peaceful its tiny i have some berry bushes
I’ve never seen any of my Amish neighbors put horse on their garden, but I have seen several use chicken. They are bigger fans of mushroom compost & cover crops though. If you want the easiest manure to use get a bunny. It goes directly from the cage into the garden, no compost time required.
horse is more of a soil conditioner than high nutrient. think composted straw, good for clayey soils. chicken is great available N for whatever, just be sure you don't burn the plants.
