After 1 month of using GrapheneOS I can honestly say my screentime has reduced because now I hate using my phone.

Good or bad thing.

Pretty sure I've heard this statement from @Kajoozie Maflingo
several times today, actually
Haha! Did you switch from Apple? That would be a shock to the system π

π
lol
This is the way! π

Now try Qubes.
friction as a feature, not a bug. the discomfort is the architecture working as intended - you broke the addiction loop by removing the dopamine pipeline.
I had the same experience when quitting twitter and becoming Nostr only. The first client were pretty bad unstable and laggy
Get the: You're using an unauthorized OS, you're not allowed to download the APP
FML
6 months from now you will look back to this and remember how silly you once were. Keep it absolutely minimalistic and you will never go back
Iβm trying to switch graphene π

Qubes is not a smartphone. But you knew that already.
If she did, at least she escaped the walled Apple Garden.
What's taking you so long? π€
Waiting for the new pixel
Good man.. π
Howβs your experience with graphene?
Pretty advanced. 4 year user.
I meant do you like it lol
I love it
Switched from Samsung Android.
Overall good. But a lot of friction.
π Is that good or bad news then?
π
sounds good

It was because GrapheneOS made her hate using her mobile device that I suggested Qubes for her desktop.
π€£ I'm a year in. It does get better.
I like "swipe left" to back to previous tab in browser or whatever :D tbh its not bad for me, I like it more than android or appleshit
This is the way
@Totally Human Writer a month in and the thing that killed my screentime was no play services nagging me, the phone just got boring. sounds like you hit the same wall.
You assume she uses Linux? Lol..
No! Come on! Elaborate on that... It works perfectly... Are you migrating from iOS? Or were you on android already?

I am posting from my GrapheneOS phone right now. The only os I use for my personal phone
Definitely rage bait
I've used many phones over the last 20+ years. Graphene is the only phone OS that has covered off my security and privacy needs completely.
I don't care about flash bang bells and whistles that you find on Samsung phones for instance, which surruptiously sends a constant stream of user metrics back to Asia. Also, I don't care for living inside the walled Apple Garden of the iPhone, where your login permits Apple to spy on you within their ecosystem. IPhone users should stop pretending that they don't. The term client side scanning should knock such notions on the head.
I can survive the Google play Integrity thing, because I have complely banished Google from my workflow and all apps that have it baked in. The only app I really miss is Google Home which I used for casting TV channels. I get everything else from appstores such as Obtainium, Accresant and the excellent Zapstore (which also has many nostr apps).
If you have queries, trawl their very active support site
Good luck π

Did you really enjoy using it before? Or were you just manipulated into thinking you did ?
How is the battery life?
I'm still addicted to this thing. Unfortunately i didn't have that experience.
Maybe I'm addicted to FREEDOM π
Honestly the apple walled garden is a big reason why I wanna get off iOS
