I am once again being called a “corrupt influencer” because I haven’t jumped on the knots/BIP110 bandwagon, so I responded for the nth time... Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I never said knots had anything to do with a hard fork. Knots is a node implementation with a different default relay policy. This relay policy was ineffective at stopping spam, which is why BIP110 now exists. It is the knots node runners who are now pushing BIP110 because filtering at the relay policy level did not work, so they have moved to the consensus level, which even Mechanic admits is not the right place to do this. You still have not clarified how I am “corrupt”, but I’ll waste some more time responding anyway: 1) I don’t give a fuck about getting invited to conferences. They’re exhausting and the best part is the time outside the conference hanging out with friends at the bar. 2) I have *never* told anyone to run core v30. I’ve said run whatever you want. I’ve said I will NOT run corev30 and recommended that others NOT update their nodes either. Yes, I have friends who work on or around Bitcoin core in various capacities. I also have friends who run knots or support BIP110 and hate Bitcoin core with a passion. I have other friends who run knots but think BIP110 is a terrible idea. I know this is difficult for you to grasp, but it is possible to have friends on all sides of a debate. I had a great conversation yesterday with @npub1au23...t53j where we discussed this. I hope you’ll listen to it when it comes out. 3) I don’t give a fuck about Citrea. Why would Lopp being an investor matter to me? He doesn’t pay me. I literally pay HIM for Casa. And what the fuck does Peter Thiel have to do with me?? Maybe you should talk to Matt Kratter about Thiel, since he worked for him. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you start throwing around retarded accusations. I’m not your enemy, but you seem determined to make me one. I encourage you to do just a tiny bit of introspection and think about whether *i’m* the “influencer” you should be worried about…

Honestly I love how opinionated the community is - refreshing to make a comment and not gear, sure but did you see the game last night? We used to be readers and debate in bars about the days issues. Now we doomscrool and willingly submit to what your political party says Keep podcasting sir! Cyphertank also cool 🍻
Relay policy stops participation in spam. Whether it stops it or not depends on prevalence. BIP-110 is a reckless soft fork proposal. They are quite separate, despite having some crossover. Many people running knots and advocates thereof staunchly reject BIP-110.
And yea, if you thought maybe we're looking for alternatives as Luke is clearly on the 110 bandwagon, you're not wrong. Turns out creating a new node implementation isn't trivial though. Besides, for now, v29 does what it's supposed to. I care less about op_return than BRC20's, ordinals, inscriptions, runes, and stamps anyway. Op_return is relatively harmless noise. No reason to make it huge but it was always a harm reduction measure. A better approach to disincentivizing spam would be removal of the segwit discount. But we're too wrapped up in retarded alternatives for that to be worth talking about.
I never did figure out how to speak in a Shakespearean fashion anyway. In fairness though I don't even feel too worried about combating 110. It's so dead in the womb the only ones hurt by it are going to be those sending replayable transactions from nodes enforcing it anyway. The extent to which I talk about it mostly is to point out the danger that the leaders of the charge are putting their followers in. Pain is a powerful teacher though.
I'll say it so you don't have to: BIP100/444 Knots is an attack on Bitcoin. If these people had real arguments they wouldn't spend so much effort on ad hominem attacks and using arguments straight out the the State's playbook like, "But what about the children!" It is interesting that aside from Kratter, most the major voices advocating for 110 are paid emplyees of Ocean. Statists gonna state.

The fact that Luke has a history of being hostile to privacy and takes a biblical obedience to the state is really the only red flag any bitcoiner needs to stay the fuck away from this shit show.
Knotts seems to be deep state. The deep state symbolism is in their logo and other places.
Of course, tell your friends what to do and what not to do. Tell him.

Imagine what kind of pathetic cucks are the people who believe in the evil shitcoiner Jameson SLopp aka "Your node doesn't matter", "You are not Core so you don't matter", "Everyone is a shitcoiner" and so on lies and manipulations.

Telling people "run whatever you want" but "Knots is run by the UK gov" meaning the Knotzis are repressive and bad ... spreading misinformation about hard forks from Knots side ...

You suddenly think you were neutral? Let me refresh your short memory. How did spreading misinformation feel? BIP 110 is a soft fork. But you gladly amplified the false hitpeace propaganda. image So while you are saying "you are free to run anything" which is true and people can't be stopped to have their free choice and run anything, you are actively being against Knots. That is not neutral.

"I support core, no of course I'm not taking a side, you're a fucking knotzi if you don't believe childporn belongs on Bitcoin"
