I've had many idea's thru my life. I never put those ideas to work. The idea's were brilliant. Other's came up with them, after I did, and made a mint.
I didn't IMPLEMENT those idea's. I didn't take that chance, or follow thru. That's where I failed.
It wasn't the idea that was the problem, it was the execution.
If you want to be successful, Don't just think about it.
Do it!

Execution is everything. So many people stuck in idea space and thinking it’s valuable. You don’t realize how shit your idea is until you start executing anyway. Or all the things you didn’t think of. Only reality can show you. Our brains can’t handle it.
Spent a good amount of time in that fantasyland myself. Glad to be out.
plan. execute. deliver . mi mantra
Sound advice. Thoughts I have been thinking of late.
You and me both brother. Now we have a clearer way of finding the world we want. We just have to implement it.
Take a shot, and just do it!
You'll be proud of yourself
that was my motto all last year.
don't think. do.
words to live by. even if the idea fails, at least you did it.
proof of work.
Proof of Work will save humanity, if you just participate
I thought up the smart phone 6 years before the 1st iPhone was released.
I told it to a friend. Said Ib envy going to but a phone until they got to that point. He was like .. whatever. Then 6 years later he ask me how I knew it was going to go that direction.
I didn't really injure, but I strongly suspected. Just like I've been wating for phone convergence.
I fully story boarded and illustrated a first person shooter game when I was 12. In 1983. ID Software didn’t release Wolf3D till 1992.
What made @SoapMiner the thing you decided to implement and follow through?
I saw smart phones in South Korea 2 years before the iPhone came out. I told people they have these awesome phones that they play around on while on the subway. Touch screens, the whole package. Then a few years later, Apple sued Samsung in an American court for patent violation. The American court awarded Apple, but I know the truth - Apple is the thief.
Yes. Execution is the difficult part
I don't doubt it. Silicon Valley was founded on this behavior.
That's a long story of sorts. But I'll shorten it.
I was already making soap, and everyone loved it, so I wanted to turn it into a business. But, there are thousands of ppl that make Handmade soap. It's a saturated market. You need a niche. A segmented part of the population that is your market.
I was already a Bitcoiner.
Well, as everyone knows, I have a lot of respect for both @ODELL , and @Jeff Booth , and have consistently been watching them for years. They have helped steer me in the right direction the vast majority of the time. Both were touting Nostr. It intrigued me.
Odell's main argument was for freedom of speech, non censorsorable communication. I definitely liked that.
Jeff had the same take, but said something that struck me. He said that it was like being one of the first to Bitcoin. That if you got into this early (Nostr), it would be of great benefit. Especially as a business, content creator, etc. You would create a huge following.
Both of them have also been huge proponents of using Bitcoin, not only as a Store of Value, but as a Medium of Exchange. Without which, Bitcoin is useless.
So all this rattled around in my head for a few days, maybe weeks. And one day, I put it all together.
My soap + Nostr + Bitcoin= success
So I figured out how to get on Nostr having no idea what I was doing, but I did. And the first person to follow me was the Nostr CEO himself @Derek Ross. He held my hand at first to show me how to do things.
And boom! I started selling my soap. Slow at first, but then increasing exponentially. And now, I actually make a living from it, while stacking Sats for my families future, and doing my part to further both Bitcoin, and Nostr in the way that I can.
It's been a fantastic 20 months, and I'll always be grateful to all that steered me, guided me, and helped me along the way.
So, figure out your idea, and then...
Just do it! 🫡
Legendary work!! Thanks for leading the way and inspiring us @Bitcoin Beans HQ to follow in your footsteps!
It feels really good to be in this train, slowly, slowly, the wheels are movin! And then we know what comes next!
Thank you brother!
We don't plan on stopping.
