If #nostr had a good tagging system, most of you would have tags on your profiles showing questions you've never properly answered I would have put a tag on eliza's public key for refusing to show where I supposedly threatened to kill her after she accused me of that Everyone would be able to see "this user has a tag from whoever loves Digit saying they make accusations of threats and then refuse to clarify" The tag would have a link to one of the times I asked her about this, or one of the times she's posted about it If I lied or the situation changed, eliza could put a tag on my tag linking to where she answered. So everyone would be able to see "this user has a follow up tag saying she did answer here" For a while, the vast majority of people would have tags on their profiles for topics they're delusional about. But this would change society over time and make people less delusional. You'd want to be able to add those follow up tags that show where you've answered stuff. But if you just keep using weasel words and never actually answering certain questions, everyone would be able to see that. "This user is tagged for never answering this question, oh wait they have a counter tag that leads to this reply where they answered, oh wait they still didn't really answer here it's just weasel words" If it doesn't bother you to leave it like that, you'd keep getting follow-ups. People would keep being like "hey, you listed this reply as where you answered this question, but this actually looks like you just changed the subject" This would work for stuff other than questions people refuse to answer. Abusive behavior people refuse to apologize for would show up too. I would have a tag on the profile of @π•Ύπ–Šπ–— π•Ύπ–‘π–Šπ–Šπ–•π–ž for never apologizing after gaslighting me about Digit being dead while she was alive the whole time. If he actually apologized, I'd update the tag to show how long it took him (it's already been months). He could ignore it, but it would show up when people who follow me check his profile. He could add a counter-tag saying he apologized with a link to some random reply where he didn't actually apologize, but people would notice. And we don't actually need a tagging system to keep track of this shit, I only brought up the idea of the tagging system to get you thinking about it Because this is what I'm doing on here naturally, just as a person without a system to help manage it. I keep asking @eliza where I supposedly threatened to kill her. She keeps ignoring me. She could keep replying with a link to where she answered if there was a place where she answered. And more people could join in asking about it if they cared, just like devs could add a robust tagging system to nostr if they cared

If we had a tagging system like this, I would be a prolific tagger and checker of tags. I would be known for it. It would be a key part of my reputation. At nostr's current size, everyone would know I'm someone they can go to for help if they're bothered by a bullshit deceptive tag someone put on their profile. There are some people other than me would have good reputations with this system. For example, @YODL is one of the people that would be known for seeing conversations through and never just dodging the same question over and over.
I read and liked some of what the original tagging note said earlier, but it was laced with too much personal drama (tsk tsk) for me to reply to. Thanks for the vote of confidence though.
You made me realize I only indirectly addressed the actual society-impacting part of it, when it's used for political views and stuff other than personal drama. I must be subconsciously too focused on the personal drama. I guess that's why I'd be such a prolific tagger/tag-checker if we had that system
Apologizing isn't gonna do anything anymore kiddo, you're fucked either way But if we had a tagging system, you could get your tag changed from "never apologized after this" to "took x months to apologize after this" That might help you a tiny bit if it was possible
And we don't actually need a tagging system to keep track of this shit, I only brought up the idea of the tagging system to get you thinking about it Because this is what I'm doing on here naturally, just as a person without a system to help manage it. I keep pointing out that you gaslit me about Digit being dead while she was alive the whole time. More people could pester you about it if they cared, just like nostr devs can build a robust tagging system if they care
I didn't do anything to you, actually You kept harassing me so I kept hitting you back Now I will keep hitting you back as long as you're in target range because you went too far to ever get off my target list again
I viewed their op. Hilarious, wants public notes attached to npubs so they can troll and attack other users permanently. I don't think they are thinking what would show up as notes about their account πŸ€£πŸ’€
I am though And I'm thinking about how I'd try to atone for wrongs I've done when they show up on my account And you're not trying to atone for wrongs, you just keep abusing me What do you think would show up that I should be so worried about? Oh wait, you don't actually have answers to explain your own statements, that's why you like to mute me

Imagine meeting someone with cancer, making it all about you, then stalking them for 3 years. Something something weak men.
My point with this post, again, is that most people on #nostr don't care if you just talk bullshit and then mute people who call you out There isn't a community of people who actually care about censorship resistance and will keep following up with more criticism after you do this I will. If someone has muted you because they couldn't answer a question you kept asking, I'm happy to follow up with them about it. And if more people were like me, a tagging system would be useful because sometimes I'd get tricked into harassing someone about a question they've already answered, and this tagging system would help with that. But for now, I'm pretty much alone with no one else even caring View quoted note β†’
