lol…no. It’s not true. The truth is that the need for lightning, liquid, and other second layer solutions that haven’t even been invented yet was foreseen back in 2009 (see Hal Finney’s response to Satoshi’s white paper announcement, for example). Just because computer programmer types know simple formulas for understanding how something will (or will not) scale and then taking steps to address the certain future need does not a conspiracy make. It’s kind of like when kids start selling lemonade and they calculate their profits forgetting that the sugar, water, lemons, cups, etc were provided by mom and dad. It’s obvious to the parents who might decide to buy extra and charge for these previously free supplies that they now have in abundance. Conspiracy, or just plain obvious? This is why the smart people in the room realized before it even launched that Ethereum could not function as designed and remain censorship resistant and end user verifiable at scale.
