The most underrated perk of #Nostr (specifically the lack of algorithm) is that you are not punished for posting external links. On X, Instagram, and all other centralized social media platforms, anytime you post a link to ANYWHERE off the site, not only is that post's reach crushed, but future posts are demoted as well, as your entire account gets put on the algo's "naughty list" for directing people off-platform. Think of how many awesome sites, resources, personal art/blogs etc. across the internet have NOT been shared, as users are bludgeoned into bending the knee to this tunnel-visioned way of communicating. It's a silent attack on perspective decentralization, and people's ability to share high-signal content by independent creators who've made the personal choice to curate their content in a more sovereign location, apart from any particular algorithmic prison. #Nostr fixes this.

Just think of what will happen ON THOSE PLATFORMS that now have to COMPETE with the new reality that NOSTR created. Now THEY have to bend the knee, or risk becoming irrelevant even faster. Not only does nostr offer an escape valve, it also should add more freedom to Web 2.0 as a side effect.
💯 I even noticed that on X, posts from accounts for which you have enabled notifications are not shown to you if they contain external links 😤

What, you mean the REST OF THE INTERNET that corporate social media wants us to forget exists?!
As an artist this is one of the most frustrating things about centralised social media. I want to share my work but also don’t want to feed that system 😑 Looking to connect with other photographers and artists on Nostr!
I have encountered an issue though were when i post a link its just the link and not the preview or image i could be doing something wrong though
They need to make money sir 😂 That’s the only way the can profit

Agreed although I noticed people will like to stay on Nostr… For example preferring zap stream vs an independent website streaming. At least that’s been my experience but I dig the vibe of this post a lot.

My question is how do people get reach on Nostr. Is it from connecting with each, I'm not really sure how all this works lol 😆
