What was once intended to be a money without state is, by many, now argued to be a money for the state. No longer do we want to spread ourselves across the planet, so that no one can arrest our thoughts. What we actually want, it seems, is to incorporate in Delaware, build mining facilities in rural Texas, and dream of making it big on the New York Stock Exchange — only to eventually end up in jail for compliance failures. In the latest BM print issue, I wrote about Trump's plans to make the US the "mining capital of the world", and the consequences this would have on Bitcoin's use as permissionless money, looking at recent comments made by regulators and mining execs on how to implement sanctions on Bitcoin. yeah, you may recall spaceboi J. P. Lowery from MIT and all the pimping that breedlove gave him if americans get into mining funded by the government they will tank their money, and other countries will also get into it because pretty much all of the chips are fabbed in china anyway, so someone is rubbing their hands... at some point it has to go to the moon because of this shit, it's all in the pipes they have to fork it to make it their money, and people will maintain the original and it isn't even gonna matter if they try to outlaw the original there, that will just make everyone else dig into it more to attack them spaceboi was kinda right in that respect that it is a new field of warfare but not right about USA getting some exceptional benefit by doing it can't fork it, can't dominate it, the whole story is a farce
