PSA: If you are looking to recover your COLDCARD funds or know anyone who is, please do not go to Thomas Braziel (@ bkclaims on X) – the guy currently advertising a class action lawsuit against @Coinkite. According to court records, he got himself assigned a case in 2024 and ended up pleading the 5th amendment over 500 times after being accused of embezzling millions of Dollars from a company he was meant to represent. Here's what the court had to say about him: "Braziel committed conduct that, on its face, meets the elements of crimes that include theft, forgery, and tax evasion." "Braziel provided Fisher Weiss with falsified records." "Braziel manufactured alternative versions of the account statements." "Braziel [...] had created falsified versions of the Company's bank records" to "conceal his self-dealing." He was ordered to pay $1.9M in restitution. He was never criminally indicted.
