I know. It’s like just don’t eat pancakes then. If it doesn’t have chocolate chips and whipped cream you’re eating sadcakes.
There is a reason a protein pancake bag just sits on the counter— while real pancakes get made around it once in a while 😀
Regular pancakes with real maple syrup and peanut butter is where it's at.
And yet that is what my "bulking" son wants. So I make a special batch just for him while I do my own pannekoeken recipe for the rest of us. None of this cakey, fluffy, stuff... Nice and thin, almost "fried" in bacon grease, with crispy edges, topped with maple syrup and/or berries.

I make egg/cheese muffins every seven weeks. I freeze them. I eat two a day at work with a sausage patty. Omelettes on the weekend. Five years now and it's delicious every day!

I have a cottage cheese pancake receipe that’s decent to get that added protein. And I usually add bananas and blueberries to them too
