@Castr.Me is a great example of using RSS with Nostr content.
It structures your data so apps can display it.

The damn feeds work in the Apple Podcast app.
Here's @Movie Archive via the @Castr.Me RSS feed.
I guess Apple Podcast is a Nostr app now. π€£

How do I access this?
I think you can just search Movie Archive in podcasting apps since I added it to podcastindex.
or manually subscribe to this RSS feed in an app
Movie Archive
Hereβs what I see when I search for it in Apple Podcasts
Apple Podcasts doesnβt use Podcast Index. Thatβs probably the issue. You need to you a modern podcast app.
Newpodcastapps.com
Top note literally says this works in Apple Podcasts π
Bad info π€·ββοΈ
Apple doesnβt support the index.
Does it only work if you add it manually? I donβt even know if thatβs a thing in Apple Podcasts
Sorry I had a brain fart. You need to manually add the feed to Apple Podcast since they don't use the index.
Y'all shouldn't be using Apple anyways and I just did it to prove a point.
I uninstalled that crap stain a long time ago lol
Fountain is my jam
Copy RSS link ->
Go to Apple Podcast app -> click library -> upper right 3 dots -> follow a show by URL -> paste RSS link inside
Done β
Movie Archive
I figured it out looking at ser sleepyβs video. Thanks. It works
You can add a show with its feed url. I just did. It works
Here like @πΎππ πΎπππππ said.

Shout out to @ChadF and 33 others for figuring this crazy shit out π₯π€£
We get enough of our brain cells together we can do great things.
So true, imagine 10k of us on the same page moving towards the same goals
2 people with a 95 IQ is like at least 160 right? π€π
At least π
Yo thanks sleepy frog fren
Does kinostr work like this to!
@npub1nmq8...vt4s this one right ? Should be exactly the same, go all the way to the bottom of the castr.me site and in the bottom field paste the npub of kinostr then copy their RSS feed link and do the steps in the previous note π
Lemme know how it goes
It's right at the top now on caste.me

^^^^^^
Wow!
Dope!
One thing is it won't pull in YouTube stuff I believe. Only media file links, MP4, m4a, mp3, etc.
no etc. I think it's only mp4, m4a and mp3. It needs a direct link to where the content is actually hosted.

I only see 6 movies?
112 for me in Apple Podcast. Might take a little since it's a manually added feed.

This is so easy Iβm surprised itβs allowed with such ease πππ wtf lol
We've done this kind of stuff before with PC 2.0 and it's cool but Apple won't help you make it cooler but we have our own apps for that.
Yeah, that's weird. When I added in fountain, I get exactly 5.
Did you click See All Episodes after the fifth one?
