Is walker ½ CC? I never made the connection.
Lol
I can’t tell if this is a serious question or a troll…
Genuine. 2010 OG and physician here. I’m only familiar with the podcast…Walker America? Who can’t love that?
Apologies to your better half (I’m guessing?)
Damn dude 2010? That is incredible…
Yes, Carla and I are married and we are “The Crypto Couple.”
I actually only started the podcast after Carla was pregnant and stepped back from being our content creation powerhouse (she did all of the editing/production… and singing… and most of the best bits).
So I did what any man would do… I started another fucking bitcoin podcast.
And the rest, as they say, is history…
Guy Fawkes was a Catholic terrorist who tried to blow up parliament in order to create a Catholic dictatorship to rule over England.
They celebrate the fact that he was killed and that the gunpowder plot was foiled.
It's crazy how Americans get their fucking history from superhero movies and comic books instead of historical documents or textbooks.
Love the titcoin history. A bit off color but in a sort of self deprecating way reminding everyone not to take everything unnecessarily seriously.
I was a fortunate laptop miner from the day this happened:
And I’ve made just about every bitcoin mistake possible, including shitcoining with “strongcoin.”
Slashdot
The link is to the event know in bitcoin as the “first slashdotting.” Slashdotting (being featured in slashdot) back in the day often drove unservable levels traffic to websites…I jumped on the white paper quickly to make sure I could still reach it before the site went down. I succeeded and I haven’t a clue whether bitcoin.org went down it not. I happened to have studied astrophysics and math in undergrad, so it only took a few minutes of scanning the white paper and googling the unfamiliar term hash for me to see how the system was supposed to work. I wasn’t burdened with good education in compsci to see the bazillion ways in which it might not work…and I was hooked from about 10 minutes in.
That’s incredible… if you’re ever up for it, I’d be honored to have you on the pod to talk about your story. We can do it totally anonymous without camera or however you prefer.
No pressure or obligation, just an open-door invitation.
I’d be happy to. Off camera/anon. I’m a boring guy with an interesting story…but I wouldn’t say I’m a good interview. I suck at the people thing.
You might just surprise yourself. And I’d say an interesting story makes you an interesting guy… don’t sell yourself short.
