Crazy how nostr has normalised lightning for me.
We're basically the only real bitcoiners. Us and ancaps who hold bitcoin and don't trust but verify, generally.
I much prefer it here being among people concerned more with how Bitcoin can be used vs. people concerned more with how much gains they can get. We all enjoy NgU when it happens, but for some people that has become all that matters and that’s sad af.
Nostr is how I discovered lightning, and in the same moment I realized Bitcoin is an excellent candidate for the apex money, and I started actually researching it deeply and stopped falling for any of the propaganda against it on Coinbase. I had always been open to the possibility it was something major, but I didn't see it until I had good reason to focus on it, and I didn't own any bitcoin. Zaps opened my eyes.
Yeah. Well they're just not detail oriented, nor patient, nor entrepreneurial/taking matters into their own hands like nostriches tend to be. They're the inferior hodlers 😂

Is the cash app thing a two-way street? Can I zap any cashapper? @jack
Yea their lightning address is their cashtag @ cash . app I don’t think it supports NIP-57 (zaps) so they’ll receive the sats but it wouldn’t show up as a zap on Nostr if someone used it here on their profile.

There are two kinds of Bitcoiners Rich ones who wants to see their life savings appreciate against real things And poor ones who want to send 10 cents to Somalia
