Folks using Google's PlayStore to download #Amethyst should switch to Zapstore.dev if you want to see the new version (and get the fastest bugfixes)

Your patience and dedication replying and addressing almost every single note regarding bugs or doubts is admirable ✨
Zapstore needs to be verified, and the only way to do that is using another custom app (App verify) that requires a *different* app store (Apprescent) to download... And presumably I should be verifying Apprescent too!! 😵 Geez this stuff really isn't ready for primetime yet
FYI I went ahead and did this... used a separate computer to verify the hash... But let's not kid ourselves that this is going to ever be an option for anyone who's never used a command line
we did some zap tests on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at ln@ln.postotherstuff.com, over a period of 4 minutes. in each case, we found that your lightning address server did not respond correctly. (the failure point was when we did a get request to your specified callback url: https://ln.postotherstuff.com/lnurlp/api/v1/lnurl/cb/7S5M99 ). your server did not produce an invoice, thus the zap failed. the error we got was "Amount 1000 is smaller than minimum <built-in function min>.". if you wanted to fix this... you could try getting a free rizful lightning address -- ... if u get it set up, pls reply here so we can do this ⚡zap test again.
We don't need google. It's a waste of time. Just forget about google and move on.
I downloaded from GitHub awhile back but never installed it, still using the Play store version. I'll use the zapstore when i bother updating.
They used to not get the key, then they "allowed" devs to share the keys with them, then they suggested/pushed for that and now, for new projects you don't even get the option to sign dev-to-client yourself.
Most people will trust the domain name zapstore.dev, so there's that. Or use the "who signed this file" tool, it's right there in the downloads page. Apologies if Zapstore is not yet the default store on Android.
"Who signed this file" links to some API endpoint gobbledygook. What's worse: clicking on it leads to a page that says "certificate expired." "Just trust us" can't be the solution when 100% of smartphone cybersecurity advice for normies is "For the love of God, DON'T INSTALL APPS from unknown sources."
If you are not comfortable verifying an app why are you doing it? You can literally visit this nostr profile, click link and install.
Fix whatever causing it to crash after 2 seconds in 10.0.0.5 Also are you gunna fix the damn media permissions so I can finally browse & look at other folders besides download & favorites?
