Inputting text is a pain in the ass as autocorrects always to some weird combinations of text that’s more even English. Only happens on primal

For example, I would like to follow this thread (receive push notifications each time someone post here) to know the features people are requesting. If we had this "stalk" feature, this would be possible.

Maybe go to your Network Settings screen and see if your relays are configured & connected.
I think Primal should have two modes to join:
1- Self sovereign way: The user receive the nsec and npub and have privacy.
2- With email and password: The user doesn't have access of nsec. Have all disadvantages of a centralized service.
Obs. I think would be more easier to people that doesn't care yet about decentralization, to join nostr.

We changed the default to light mode, but you can still override it in the settings.
I can see that npub and nsec might not be necessary for users who don't want to deal with it, but they should still be generated so that the account is secure from people who try to clone the account on other devices with the username/password.
You should be able to send and receive payments/zaps anywhere on the lightning network. If you are not able to do so, please let us know the details (you can DM me) and we'll investigate.
Getting people used to the idea of a public and private key is a big step towards getting them more comfortable with Bitcoin and sats. I don't think we should ignore the lesson and make things too easy.
If we want mass adoption, we need to give people options that they are comfortable.

I agree. But after installing Primal on my phone, getting the public and private key to be able to log into the same account in my browser was super easy, just copy/paste into a secure location, copy paste into the browser login, and I was off and running. I think it would have been almost as easy if I wasn't already familiar with public/private keys, it would have just taken a few more minutes of research and a brave step into the unknown to expand my comfort zone. Which is what I did way back in 2017 when I started down this path. Eventually, adoption will come as more people get comfortable with how it works, I really don't think we need to massively adjust how it works if it introduces holes in security.

Believe me, many old people and youngs too doesn't care about these things, they just want to use something in the same way they always did. But I agree that with centralized mode with email and password, the user should have access to nsec to be able to login in other apps to, if they want.

Display replies in chronological order. Why are they displayed in reverse chronological order? Seems like a weird default sort.
Pictures are cropped and with meme pics a lot of time the text gets cropped out so I have to click on the pic to see the full uncropped version.

You are able to scan/type/paste any lightning address via Primal Wallet. To type/paste, select the keyboard tab on the Send screen.

I’d like to be able to easily manage more than one profile being able to switch between them would be good
Today I tried to show a colleague at work how useful Nostr is so I opened Primal and searched for the totally innocent word “#nature”.
The first three posts with pictures were from AI generated naked girls.
I wish we could filter out (as in, not who) posts with
1. Pictures or videos at all
2. Negative filter, as in, i want to view #photography but I don’t want to see #NSFW
I know the #hashtags are user generated and could be unreliable, but still this filter option is better then nothing 🤔
The range is limited to 4 steps and the largest is not large enough. Also it does not change the size of the compose text. Ideally the app would respond to iOS accessibility settings.

One unique selling point of primal could become the option to block pictures and videos that are not “child safe” or NSFW. How can you recognize such content? Most smartphones today have great ML features. A simple model could be trained to filter all incoming posts 🤔

I just want to bump this again because it’s the 3rd or 4th time I’ve suggested this/asked if this is a planned Primal feature. I’ve never gotten any type of response.
I believe NIP-42 is implemented on almost every “major” nostr app at this point except Primal. DMs for paying nostr.wine users aren’t available on Primal as a result. Filter.nostr.wine will soon require AUTH and we will have to encourage our users to use something other than Primal.
Please the option that the feed does not auto scroll on top when new posts are available so you can read them from where you were last time you used the app! 🙏

Nuzzel.com was an app and a service and was bought by @jack or at least by Twitter and stopped working soon afterwards.
God I loved Nuzzel. It would give me a short list of all the stuff that the people I follow where liking and/or resharing.
It was like the highlights of that day, in one handy list.
