Overheard at work: Not every bad day can become a good day.

Batched 5kg of dry fried chanterelles and Hedgehogs into 200g freezer bags yesterday. 25 meals for 2 people this winter. That’s after gifting 2kg, freezing 1 kg cooked & spiced, and eating mushrooms all month. On to the next harvest - I’m proud to say we are going to be well fed this winter.

Wet ol day - but I saw my favourite number of other people on the trails.

What a bountiful day on the land. Even got a patch of hedgies! Eating like a queen tonight!
