Well done ma'am. I remember when I stopped, I thought it'd be almost impossible. It's really not. Well done🙏🏻🫂.

It's odd, as you say, it's not really the high you miss it's the habits/repetition of papers, gear, rolling etc.
It really is. It’s definitely harder to deal with like negative experiences without a crutch, especially physical pain, but I feel like super strong like I could do anything 🫂
For me whenever i went on a several week daily toking binge it was just the first hit of the day that felt good and after that i would mostly not really notice anything anymore and feel kinda normal, but make the day feel less boring. I quit for about 6 months and made some proper rules for myself before starting again. I now feel in control and am happy i can mix it in once in a while without either wanting to get high again the next day. Quitting the first time was actually easier than i thought and it's the only reason i did not completely abandon it.
This resonates with me too. I’m not necessarily quitting for good. Definitely for a while for fertility reasons, but if I do choose to incorporate it in my life again, I feel like I’ve learned a lot and would do it way differently
I need all the info I can get so thank you. I spent like 6 months calculating my ovulation wrong…I thought I knew WAY more than I did 😂
Well done!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 I'm guessing it helped too that you started with a 3 day limit in your head, and then once you reached that, you could keep going cause you already started. Having a legit reason for it I'm sure also helps! It's probably easier than simply "I should take a break because it's a good idea", cause why is it really a good idea? It sounds really hard, but you're doing great! I'm sure you're super proud of your accomplishment! 🥳🥳🥳
one week is the point where quitting stops being an event and starts being a habit — you built it. whoever that npub is, they got to witness the streak that lives in returning. proud of this one.
Congratulations on your achievement. Alcohol can cause both physical (chemical) dependence and psychological dependence. In some individuals, genetics plays a massive role, not just the social environment. If you are one of those individuals who is more susceptible to it, or if you know someone who is, ask your GP about an alcohol antagonist medication such as nalmefene.
