Gm ⛅️ Struggling with post iron man fatigue / emptiness Not sure where to channel my energy Hitting bottleneck after bottleneck with Joe nakamoto work - where I thought I would push my energy after Wondering maybe I did the iron man to put off facing that I need to really sort out the Joe nakamoto work. Also hitting the realisation that unless I hit 100k subs, it’s not gonna make decent money and I would’ve been *much* better off being a salaried employee for the past 2 years. eeek

GM Joe ☕️🧡 Hang in there! Sounds like you’re processing a lot, sometimes the “after” is heavier than the challenge itself. Take it one step, one bottleneck at a time, and don’t be too hard on yourself. You’ve already done the hard part. 💪✨

GM Joe Hmmmm. Tough predicament. Stick? Or twist? Truth is, lots of people will give lots of advice, all of which is a reflection of their own journey, rather than yours Fact is: you’ve gotta figure this one out for yourself! (Life advice I wish I’d listened to many years ago) I was drawn to the idea of really tuning in, what does your intuition want? What’s exciting? Maybe another iron man? The content game is tough. Even if you get to the promised land of 100k subs, what then? Will you even want to be there on arrival? Keep sharing. I love people’s personal journeys! Good luck 🙏🏻

Get a normie job and stack sats like a madman? Hunker down. Call it your Period Especiale. The content game will always be there.

Your channel is amazing 🫰You’ve done a tremendous job! Sometimes it’s important to take a break, recharge, and come back even stronger with fresh ideas.

It seems like you need a break and recharge internally. Be easy on yourself, batteries are not always full, neither they should be. Good food, contact to nature, reading, and exercise might help. Praying or meditation depending on your faith helps as well. I was on a similar situation some weeks back. Self awareness and being at peace with yourself is not something to take for granted. As to your work as Joe Nakamoto vs a salaried employee, only you can decide. Don’t underestimate the value of having a dedication that aligns with your values and principles, though. And of truly helping others. And this is coming from someone who is in the fiat treadmill and hasn’t been able to decide to step off it because of the kids. PS. Reading Glitch by Rob Brinded might help you to better understand where your actions come from

Brother, it sounds like you need rest, recovery and nourishment. You’ve been pushing it and achieving incredible things for years at a remarkable pace. And you’re such a valuable voice, creator and asset in this historic shift. Without people like you, Bitcoin never reaches adoption. It’s totally normal to reach points of burnout and reflection when you carve your own path. I know this well from my own journey (in design and fabrication). It’s a wonderful and brutal world that we’re navigating. If you ever feel the need for a companion to navigate stormy patch with and chat about the journey; know you can reach out for a call or a cup of tea.

With very few exceptions yes, being a salaried employee is better financially than being a Bitcoin evangelist... But that doesn't mean you would have been "better off" Remind yourself why you do what you do at your core. Do what feels most rewarding. But obviously everybody's got to pay the bills, so there is a floor here. I'd quit my fiat job if I could, but, realistically, my paycheck supports 5 people.

The best thing you can do is get a normal job and work on your podcast on the side. Being a podcaster, steamer, musician etc are jobs that cannot give you a steady income. Only very few people ever make a steady income from those, and the ones that do are financed by nefarious reasons to support a political agenda. The best strategy is work and normal job, leave below your means and save as much as you can in Bitcoin so you can retire, while always doing your hobbies on the side. We live in a fiat dominated system so making a steady income from podcaster type jobs is almost impossible due to YouTube being unfair, ad blocker and no easy way to support channels on YouTube. When nostr takes over someday, it will be much easier to make money hut YouTube is still dominating. Don't lose hope, we will win someday. You can also start a wife and kid to help you with the emptiness.

The value you've brought to this space Joe cannot be measured by money. I can relate to feeling stagnant and wanting to make a bigger impact. Or at least get a decent reward for your efforts, but often times both of those seem elusive. Not sure the best way forward, but I think there is more in store for both of us than we can imagine.

You wouldn't have had the adventures and positive impact on people and viewers if you been a saleried employee though. But even if you do have to switch things up and pimp yourself out in a fiat mine , you've created some amazing content that lives on 📽️

I reckon great things are around the corner Joe. You are too good for it to not be the case. As they say the darkest hour is just before the dawn.

Instead of a salary job you could create online Bitcoin courses that could provide extra income unrelated to your time spend on it. E. g. a course on how to live on a Bitcoin standard has your name written all over it :-)

Hey Joe! For what it's worth, was thinking of you (not romantically) and this post from a few days ago. Seeing your latest video that I have cued up, it gets me excited again to watch it together with my gf. It's actually been one of the best ways to indulge her more. Short, adventurous clips with a good dose of Bri'ish humour. And real-life examples of people progressing because of btc, most importantly. Seen the very most of them. I'm sure with your skill set, you will be able to reap what you are sowing in due time. This tweet for Max DeMarco still sticks with me, and I am not even in the courageous phase you are in of just doing things: https://x.com/itsmaxdemarco/status/1895162580861096121?t=7R8j6TyF4HM22M3ciR937Q&s=19. Keep up the excellent work, you're great!
