NDK (Nostr Development Kit) is a Dart library that enhances the Nostr development experience by providing developers with tools for relay connections, event handling, authentication, caching, subscriptions, and encryption. This release introduces major connection-management and reliability improvements, including better handling of authentication, reconnects, subscriptions, request replay, caching, and relay connectivity, while adding post-quantum hybrid encryption for direct messages using ML-KEM-1024 and binding connections to individual identities. It also includes breaking changes to relay connection handling and replaces the GPL-licensed Crystals-Dilithium implementation with FIPS 204 (ML-DSA).
