Bizarre take by you. Everyone donating to OpenSats, Brink, HRF *is* paying the developers that get funded by these orgs. In addition, there are those donating to core devs directly. By your measure we should sit down and shut up when institutions, governments and countries pay for the changes they want, regardless of how these affect the rest of the users.
