So it’s my personal goal to get my daughter talking within the next 2 years… she’s 6 now so by the time she’s 8 I hope to get her up to where she needs to be… it’s going to be ruff to say the least as after her last 2 shunt surgeries set her way back… We haven’t had any autism testing done yet but that’s in the works for next year… She’s fairly none verbal. She does talk a little and has started to pick up some simple phrases & sentences… but there’s a lot she doesn’t say… she seems to understand what she’s being told at least… If anyone has any resources I can look up it would be greatly appreciated! #asknostr

I hate to say much since I don’t it know many details about your situation. I will say two main thoughts I have Has her hearing been checked? My niece wouldn’t talk/couldn’t talk very well because she wasn’t hearing people and learning the way most kids would. It improved greatly with the correct therapies. High fat and medium protein with low carb diets have had great success with autism/adhd and many medical problems. It seems to work so well since fat is absolutely important for brain function. When the brain is fed properly then the other functions seem to fall into place. I am so happy she has such love to stand by her and help her succeed.
Yes her hearing has been checked and isn’t a problem. The food aspect is a big big problem… she is a very picky eater… Full fat Yogurt, small amounts of fruits, way too many carbs, juice, small amounts of water… docs gave up on therapy and told us to come back if she totally stops eating…

Check for a tongue tie. There was a boy who was having trouble speaking and after he got his tongue tie released he could speak much better.
I was about to mention that I had a neighbour in childhood that had some problem in his tounge that kept his speech progress on 0. But he was fully reactive to everything. He was trying to but words were just coming out in the form of a high pitch sound. And it was visibly frustrating him. I think it was also this tounge tie you have mentioned. After he had operation he had to go to special school though to learn how to speak... last I remember before they moved out is that he could form sentences with a hard regulation of his pitch but it was a huge progress.
